Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Very dark brown to chestnut, nearly black. Lovely strong aroma of roast malts, dark chocolate and prunes. Notes of oak and cigars too. Flavour is roasty, smooth and mellow with chocolate notes. Roasty aftertaste. Very good.

Jet back with a light brown head. Roast malt, chocolate, coffee aromas. Intense burned, sweet, sour flavour with long lasting bitter aftertaste

Cask at County Hotel (JDW) Ashford. I’ve had this beer in a bottle (disappointing) at St Peter’s Jeresulem Tavern in London (okay) and now on hand pulled draught and I would say that the hand pulled is the best I have had it. I have read the other ratings and I feel that this beer loses something in the bottle. This is a golden ale, with hoppy tangerine notes on the nose. Slightly creamy in the mouth, with acidic creamy finish wiht more tangerine/orange flavours and dryness. I like it in this form

Bottled. Dark brown colour, big brown creamy head, lacing. Mintish honey aroma with some hints of smoke. Sweet honeyish smoky flavour. Smoky finish and aftertaste. Sweet honey and smoke all along the way.

Light milk chocolate aroma. Quite black, very low foamy brown head. Cool bottle. Roasted chocolate and coffee edges. Not entitely well balanced. Medium body. Chocolate and coffee aftertaste.

A red beer with next-to-no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries, and so is the flavor, where cowberries stands out. The end is dry, but the body is thin.

Amber color. Nice malty aroma, similar to a Barley Wine. Malty taste, with notes of roasted malt, a lot of caramel and good hopping.

Bottled. Golden colour. Well... Ginger aroma with a dash of lemon. Not much beer character remains, but it’s still not bad. Unusual to say the least.

Pour is orange with no head. Aroma is both malty and hoppy leaning more towards the malt.. Flavor is also malts and hops but the hops are stronger here. Over all pretty light and watery. Nothing to get excited about but it does not offend.

[At Jyske Øldage 2004, Kolding] An amber beer with a disappearing white head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel. And so is the flavor, while the mouthfeel is flat.
