Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Hoppy-fruity aroma. Starts fine hoppy-grasy, flowery. Some fruity notes of lemon, a bit soapy. Finish less fruity. Okay, but could be more balanced.

Dark blond colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour are quite light and mild. Subtle malt sweetness. An inoffensive thirst quencher.

Sweet-ish, floral, malty aroma, hints of mustard seed and violet, overripe pear, "Grafschafter Birnenschmaus". Pours turbid brown from the bottle. The tall foamy head quickly settles to a thin, stable layer. Aroma has banana in it, light chocolate, and perhaps just a touch of rye. Sweet up front, full of chocolate and banana, but quickly turns more sour, in the direction of cherry. The rye really only comes out at the aftertaste, where it lingers on the tongue next to a banana sweetness. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. I was not expecting a Dunkelweizen when I opened the bottle but it turned out to be a good one.

Flascherl: Hazy, amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer; sourish-fruity, caramelly and metallic nose, traces of mushrooms also; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; fruity-toasty sweetish-sourish finish. Not really necessary...
