Bottle from Boise Co-op. Pours out a nice dark gold with a mile high rocky head, a bit of haze from some suspended solids and sediment. Dark, musty rye type aroma with some wooden notes. Dinkel grain also drives the taste, slightly dark and sour, bready, and the barrel aging plays a minor role in the background adding some wooden taste and a few boozy notes. More sourness at the finish. Nice to try a dinkel bier again, its been a while. Only knock is a fast finish.

Clear amber with little white head. Aroma is dusty wheat, some candy and artificial cherry. Taste is uncanny sour skunk with some sweet ugly malt. Finish is metallic and makes me sad. Not very drinkable, too ugly. Bah.
