Pours deep, cloudy mahogany. Mocha head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Dark pumpernickel and molasses aromas. Soft with sourdough and pumpernickel upfront turning to dark molasses before the medium length pit fruit finish.

Bottle, 4.8%. Gusher. Citric aroma. Hazy dark golden colour. Big stable plasticky white head. The flavour is citric and papery. High carbonation. I cannot shake the wheat beer sensation in these specialty grain types.

Bottle, 5.0%. Citric wheat beer aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Big stable plasticky tan head. The flavour is fat and yeasty with a little banana. A lot like a wheat beer, but quite citric.

Bouteille: Golden, hazy, stable mid-sized off-white head, sweetish-wheaty to grainy-bready nose, backed by some yeast and a tinge of cloves; sweetish flavour with a very light acidity, nevertheless a bit sticky, light to medium bodied; short yeasty-grainy finish completed by an increasing tartness towards the very end. Sigh, who really needs such "brews"…

Bottle from Eureka North Coast Co-op. Pour hazy dark coppery amber with a yellowish tan head. Aroma is either cola or lightly spicy roast malt. Med body. Flavor is rye. Mild spiciness. Certainly not sweet. A bit off dry. Pretty good beer - might be unique.

Bottle: ours cloudy amber with a huge, light tan head. Apple peel, malt aroma. Taste is slightly fruity bitter, peels, malt. dry ... This beer is sort of non-descript, to me, in style..however.....it is very, very good.....liked it a lot.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, small and persistent off-white head, relatively dry grainy nose with a hayish touch and traces of yeast; light to moderate sweet-bitter(!) flavour, supported by a light acidity; sweetish-sourish grainy-bready finish. Not really tasty…
