Clear golden. Aroma is very yeasty full grain bread and some fermentation. Taste is also dough with sour starch and grain. Quite spelt forward. A bit strange...

Says "historic Rye beer" but it basically tastes like a Hefeweizen, though slightly spicier. But it's Bavarian so that makes sense.

First taste was great but this is pretty thin. Sad.

500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with weak, ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, miimally lacing, dark beige head. Muesli-like, grainy and fruity aroma, hints of dried berries. Taste is sweet-ish, grainy and fruity, slight muesli character again, hints of dried berries, dried fruit in general. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Clean, fruity - interesting.

Bottle picked up from Hier Gibt's Bier webshop Eckersdorf, Franconia, Bayern consumed at home Sunday 27th March 2022 sat outside in the glorious ☀️ listening to The Mysterines Reeling we have Pastitsio with a Greek Salad for tea. Pours orange/brown with a large off white head. Fruity, bready and with a little cereal on the nose. Fruity in the mouth, a little earthy, some caramel and a little yeasty breadyness. It's ok. Score 6.2
Had this again 19th February 2026. Much better than I recall, cannot be bothered to rewrite, but it's decent. Score 6.8

Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemark, Au in der Hallertau and consumed at home Thursday 10th March 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Pours gold 'almost' clear, white head atop. Spritzy nose, really quite fresh, a little fruity, there is a little soapy hop. It's on the edge of sweetness. Good.

I love how common Dinkel (spelt) is in Germany. This is a lovely Hefeweizen.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas cheers mate 🙋🏽♂️. Had this at home Saturday 8th January 2022 listening to Sunns - Hold/Still making Granola and also Chicken, Mushroom and Dijon Pies. Pours hazy dark gold, light amber with a white head. A little bit of a chemical taint on the nose. In the mouth it's a little bit mehhh... some tang and a little bit of fruit but if this is a historical old style then I would have left it there.
