Bottle picked up at Appel Getrankemarkte, Moosburg and consumed at home Wednesday 27th December 2023 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music and cooking Orzo with Hickory Smoked Lamb. Pours hazy gold edging towards light amber with large white head, grassy hoppy notes that sits within an otherwise light wheat nose. Fruity in mouth, a little gassy, there is a little fruity and fresh rustic taste, nice enough but trying to be edgy.

Bottle 750ml picked up from Aldersbacher brewery and consumed sat on the balcony at home Tuesday 15th August 2023 listening to Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant on 6Music but Tom is on holiday so it's just Deb this week. We had Chicken and Chorizo Lasagna for tea. Pours dark brown with a mid sized off white head. Tangy, fruity, mostly dark fruits, abv pretty well hidden. I was expecting this to be lighter in colour than this, also not as complex as hoped. It's not a bad beer but also far from great.

Bottle picked up from Getränke Degenhart - Markt Grafenau and consumed at new house Manglham, Innernzell, Bayerisch Wald Saturday 5th August 2023 listening to Elkka we cooked Pork and Beef Polpette from our Polpo book. I'd already written the review to this but forgot to press post, returned to the page this morning and it refreshed and I lost the review grrrr....so this is from memory and a photo I took helps with the appearance. Pours hazy warm mid gold with a huge white head of foam, there is a clean, fresh, slightly zippy nose, I remember being torn between whether I liked it or whether there was a flaw with it. I think that it had a very slight chemical taint to it which was the one thing that was slightly off putting.

Bottle from Degenhart getränke in Passau (D). Color: Hazy dark brownish amber, yellow-ish head. Aroma: Malt, spicy. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel. Dark malt, some caramel, spicy notes. Hints of raisins. Hoppy backbone. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, light bitterness. Easy drinkable, no excitement.

Bottle. As Apostelbräu Hauzenberger Granit Weiße. Color: Hazy orange amber, white head. Aroma: Wheat malt, subtle yeasty, hints of banana. Taste: Malty, wheat, grainy. Yeasty notes. Hints of banana and herbal hints. Medium body, average carbonation. Moderate sweet, light to moderate bitterness. A Weizen with a touch of Helles, in my opinion. Ok.

Kam Ende 2022 neu ins Programm.

Bottle at Herz Stück, Waldkirchen, had this Sunday 5th March 2023 after a 6km walk from where we're camped. Pours hazy amber with a white head, strange beer, very strange, aroma more like washing up liquid than whisky, medium carbonation, tangy and there is a little fruit. This is weird, not my thing.

A German saison, I had to try it. Pour is a sickly looking tan with a large white head. Aroma is sweet malt and some grapes. Flavor is dark fruit with a kind of there yeast ester. Some spice is left on the tongue. Not your typical saison but it has a few things going for it. Nice dark fruit like a ripe plumb.
