Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 26/1/2018. Golden in colour, with a moderately-sized, white, head. Floral hops, pineapple and tangerine fruits, biscuity malts and a pleasantly dry finish. Good.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Dark straw colour. Foamy, sudsy, white head. Nose has decent Simcoeage on it. Bit of pine and piss. Clean malts, maybe a little bready. And then the bloke with the vinegary bowl of chips sits down, and blows any other aromas out the way. Taste has a little sweetness, turning piny, citrus oil bitter. Light to medium body. Lasting, pithy bitterness to finish. Nice golde.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Pale gold. Light haze. Thick suds of white. Nose has pineapple and grapefruit up front. Sweet biscuit malts. Some tangerine and strawberry. Very fruity number. Taste is light and clean, pithy bitter. Not much sweetness here. Light body. Long, light, pithy and citrusy, bitter finish. Nice one.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Bronzed gold. Light haze. Film of sticky white. Nose has piles of mosaic. Strawberry, blueberry and some ripe orange. Some oaty sweetness. Taste is sweet, for a minute, turning fleshy citrus bitter. Some apple like tang straightens things out nicely. Bit of chew on the palate. Long, light bitterness to finish.

Cask at the Dove Street Inn Winter Festival, 2017. Pours clear pale gold with a small bubbly just off-white head. Aroma of hop, grass, and sherbet. Light sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Bitter finish. Not bad.

Handpull cask from the Black Horse, Aylestone. Dark brown, only slightly translucent. A tiny bit of tan head on top. Strong coffee aroma with some roast chestnut notes. Sweet taste at first, but there's quite a strong hop bitterness which asserts in the finish. Creamy bittersweet finish with juniper and coffee bean in the aftertaste. Soft natural carbonation on the palate. Tasty.

Cask at the Red House, Stourbridge. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is pissy and grassy. Taste is pissy and grassy, with a strong bitter finish.
