Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours deep, unclear brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has some ashy roast, burnt toast, some cocoa. Light sweet flavour with strong bitter ashy roast, baking cocoa, scorched earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Strongly bitter finish, slightly astringent, with more baking cocoa, tangy burnt wood, ash. So so overall.

330ml can into an old Budweiser Budvar stemmed tulip glass at home on 22nd Dec 2016. Obtained from The Willow Walk (a Wetherspoons near Victoria, London). Mid-gold body, clean and clear: white head with a bit of lacing. The aroma is floral/grassy and grainy, the taste leaning towards the grains with a slight bitter finish from the hop content. Easy drinking and not unpleasant.
