cask at Guildford Arms about a month ago - Pours pale gold. No surprise, this one smells like raspberries. It tastes of sweet malt with ample raspberry. The hops is quite minimal. It’s fairly sweet right through to the finish. It’s really a decent brew, but be aware it’s more of a fruit beer than a bitter.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond] Light amber, moderate white head, slight fizz (superb condition - well done Wetherspoons!). Apple and caramel at first followed by a tasty spiciness. Straw and earth come through in a moderately bitter finish that is well balanced against the sweet start. Decent bitter - although obviously very variable in both quality and flavour based on earlier reviews!

Cask at NWAF 2009. A hazy light golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of artificial fruit. The flavor is very sweet with notes of artificial fruit as my childhood watered down fruit juice. The body is light.
