Pour is a dark brown with an average white head. Aroma is a roasted sweetness. That makes no sence but its what i got. Flavor is much better. Some chocolate and roasted nuts with a bit of black licorice. A decent brown and better than i was expecting.

Nutty aroma. Very dark copper color, not exactly brown. Thick creamy head. Nicely balanced chocolate and hops. Weak finish.

Bright light amber colour. Lightly toasty flavour - it’s organic, after all. Thin body. Hints of crackerlike malt, bland hops. Serviceable beverage but very typical of the blandness evidenced in much of the body of organic beer.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a rough, white head. Fresh, citrusy nose. Medium body with a discreet malt profile, dry citrusy hop notes and a fairly hoppy finish. One fine IPA. 310507

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and hops, while the flavor is primarily sweet malty with notes of caramel, and only light notes of hops, and the body is thin. OK, but not the best for the style.

A simple session ipa. Light gold color. Aroma has light, herbal hops, and the flavor is more light hops and some light malt sweetness.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. A murkey grainy malt with gravy notes (???). In mouth, rather unpleasant rye malt, raw mash and butter. Not very good. 11th Annual CNY Brewfest, Feb.5 2007.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a smallish off-white head on top. Aroma of fresh hops, apricots, wheat, oranges, metal and a tiny bit of malt. Medium-bodied; Nice strong hoppy flavour up front showing herbal/grassy characteristics, then fading to a good malt flavour with a metallic kick. Aftertaste shows the bitterness from both of these with a good citrus taste going on as well. Overall, an actually great beer - one that surprised me, especially after having some of the other beers in this series. I’d definitely recommend this beer to others, especially if you like Bocks. I sampled this 65 cL bottle, purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 12-May-2007.
