(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2024) Hazy golden colour with brief head. Fruity nose with apples, oak wood and a touch of glue. Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, oak wood, grass, bourbon, vanilla and a touch of glue. Generous acidity. More than medium body, quite dry. Lots of bourbon wood. A bit of an acquired taste, but fresh and tart. Nice one.

Bottle from Eko Plaza. Slight hazy pale greenish/pink, looks almost like white wine. Light yeast, straw, a touch of farmyard funk, dry pears. I think they use cooking pears which it seems don't have so much aroma, as this tastes more like fermentation than fruit, and it could even be a wine. Medium bodied, medium dry. Not bad, but underwhelming for a 12 euro bottle.

Elegast has a fox on their bottle cap and they make BA ciders. I like them already! This one is pretty funky. Lots of gin vibes.

Bottle. Bit hazy light golden. Aromatic apple, yeasty, farmyard, a hint of vinegar, rose, earthy, old dry apple peel. Under medium sweet and sour. Medium bodied, crisp and medium dry. Decent cider, quite Basque-like.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pale golden colour, bubbly white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple, wood barrel, vanilla, funky, bourbon hint. Taste is tangy, tart, soured apple, acetic funk, with some barrel notes, woody, vanilla, and light tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying tannic with lingering vanilla at the finish. Quite drinkable.

Draft. Color: Hazy yellowish golden, white head. Aroma: Apple, apple skin, rural funk. Taste: Modwrate to over moderate tart apple, apple skin, wood, tannins, rural funk. A little sweetness. Nice cider!

Tall 500ml bottle. Pours a very pale golden yellow with a very fine mist. Aroma of soft apple orchard, sharp wild elements with light bourbon emerging. Flavour profile presents an appealing sidra profile, not overly sharp but sharp enough with a lovely integrated bourbon presence nestled underneath providing a welcome sweetness. Crisp green apple notes, some apple core. Wasn't sure what to expect with this, but it works quite well.

On tap at Proeflokaal Arendsnest, pours a hazy full golden with almost no head. Aroma has crisp apple skins and a hint of oak. Flavour has plenty of bourbon, acidic apple skins, and a touch of wildness. Acidic, lots of apple skins, and barrels. Not the most refined, but has some depth. Decent.
