Very pale with a light haze and no head. In the background of both the aroma and flavour there's a light note of aniseed. Light tannins in the aftertaste.

Bottle, 75 cl directly from cidery as part of the 'Goeie Gast' box. Color: Hazy pale yellow, very thin and fast disappearing white head. A lot of tiny carbonation bubbles going up in the glass. Aroma: Tart and bit sweet apple, funky. Taste: Medium carbonation, rural and lightly horse stable funk, moderate tart en light sweet apples, some apple peel and wood. Light notes of tannins. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Just under medium body. Ok but lacking identity.
Quite nice farmhouseish cider. Lots of apple. Pretty dry, some light tartness, pretty funky. Clear apple identity, bright and refreshing. Works really well with rich food, super refreshing. Bit muddled, but who cares. Great summer beer.

Taste: Moderate tart, subtle rural and horse manure funk, hints of leather, subtle fruity apple, apple peel. Wood notes. Quite a lot of tannins Light to moderate bitterness. Dry finish. Just below medium body, no carbonation. Nice.

Bottle, directly from cidery. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Fruity apple, plum and mulberrie, subtle funky. Taste: Moderate to over moderate tart, fruity apple, plum and mulberries. Hints of apple peel. Subtle rural funk and wood. Hints of vinegar and some fruity sweetish hints at the same time. Just below medium body, average carbonation. Nice.

Bottle directly from cidery. Color: Hazy orange-red, thin off-white head. Aroma: Apple peel, grape, wood, funk. Taste: Moderate sweet, a lot of tannins, dry, wood, grape, apple and apple peel, rural and horse manure funk. Nice.

Fruity apple, apple skin, red berries. Rural and stable funk. Some wood, tannins. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Medium body, average carbonation. Slightly oily, quite dense for a Cider. Nice.

Bottle. Gusher. Color: Hazy pale golden, fast diminishing white head. Aroma: Rural, funky, earthy, fruity, Taste: Earthy, rural and leathery funk, tannins, moderate tart apple and quince, peel, subtle floral notes. Light bitterness. Medium body, above average carbonation. Interesting mix of flavours.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Pale golden colour, foamy white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple, woody barrel, oak & vanilla hints. Taste is apple, fleshy, wood, barrel notes, oak, vanilla, acetic funk with some tart acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry woody acidic & slight tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
