Description

First of all, I don’t fully understand why a brewery called Benelux would be located in our near north neighbor, rather than in Belgium, Netherlands or Luxembourg. But anyway, this one has a reddish brown color and a tan head. Aroma has smoke and malt, with a hint of Butterfinger. Taste is smooth chocolate malt. Good stuff.

Draft: Poured a slight hazy bright yellowish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of floral and dry European hops is dominating and quite pleasant. Taste is a nice mix between a sweet malt base with limited caramel malt presence (that you would usually find in an IPA) and loads of floral hops with a lightly bitter and astringent finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very well done the huge hops presence was very refreshing.
