Bottle: Pours a murky, reddish brown color with a lasting finger of beige head. Lively carbonation, but not that noticable when taking a sip. Nose is a bit fruity, as well as an earthy, breadiness. Kind of muddled. Taste is sweet, fruity, just a bit bready, hint of sherry, and warming. Subtle, yet in depth flavors are not competing with each other. Delicious.

Bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Poured very dark brown with a medium head. The nose was incredible, very fruity and nutty their was also a real waft from the alcohol in this powerful and strong beer. The taste was really something amazingly complex but I sat there and at one point it was though I had dipped my hand into a really expensive box of dark chocolate liquor chocolates and had just let it melt on my tongue, and waited as the dark cocoa taste of the chocolate receded as the alcohol and liquor were released, fantastic. Dark fruits and a wonderful creaminess also present themselves, this is a beer I’ve had many times before but never rated, sit down, take your time and have it melt on your tongue superb!

Pours a nice brown with a large light tan head. Pretty strong aroma. Spices, malt, yeast, dark fruit, and alcohol. Smells delicious. Mouth is full and fairly creamy with nice carbonation. Flavor is full of spice, sweet malt, molasses, dark and slightly bitter fruit, and some alcohol. FInishes with some dry bitterness and noticeable alcohol. I’ll see this one again.

(Bottle 33cl): no doubt, one of the best beers I ever drank. Dark brown, Big head and sweet aroma, full of fruits and caramel tastes with a hint of chocolate in the end.

Bottle: Poured a brown with white colored head. The aroma was sour fruit and dirty. The taste was gritty and not what I have become use to from rochefort. I have another bottle here at the house that I will try since this was a fest beer.

Bottle. Cloudy medium amber color with a small fizzy fair lacing off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and carbonation is lively. Very light and easy to drink.
