@home w/ Joost, poured into a stem glass. Hazy pale golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma Belgian yeast, peach, pear, orange peel, spicy notes. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, yeasty, peach, pear, orange peel, spicy notes (coriander, pepper). Full to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, fresh sweetbitter aftertaste, slightly more bitter than in taste, spicy notes, very rich and elegant classic tripel, very good.

Bottle from Systembolaget. I should really have been paying more attention whilst drinking this. But here goes. It was in many ways a classic quadrupel - interesting winey aroma and flavours; quite light on the palate for the percentage and girth. Didn't wow me but was lovely anyway. (13/3/21) ---- Bottle from the brewery, Rochefort. As above, it has a profound aroma that is hard to pinpoint. It's a mature and profound trappist ale. 3.8 to 3.7.

330 ml aged bottle. Murky brown, foamy quickly disappearing head. Loads of nuts and chocolate, caramel, dried fruits, light dry lemon notes. Malty sweetness, light dryness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry malty sweet finish. Very nice, very balanced and drinkable!

Bottle at home, picked up from Etre Gourmet, Grez-Doiceau, Belgium consumed at home during @beerwithnat beer school, Thursday 4th March 2021. Big foamy white head, fruity nose a little bread but some orange citrus notes and stone fruits. Dry, crisp, fruity, this is great the aforementioned aroma notes come through in the mouth, nice bitterness, a little punch from the alcohol. This is a belter.
