Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.
We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!
Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!
Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Dark orange and cloudy nose of jasmine. Roses and peach. Bright tree fruit. Minor shoe polish. Mouthfeel is spot on just like very other cellarmaker beer. Taste is minor pine, grapes. Peach. Kiwi and persimmon. Fruit bomb with resinous dank. IBUs are out of the park.

Cloudy dark yellow. Creamy head. Nose is great. Nelson, citra and jade hops. Loads of fruitiness and a touch of banana. Taste has a lemon meringue pie with another off flavor. Touch of copper. Lots of fruitiness. Primarily, lemon orange, pineapple and I guess kiwi.

Pint at good karma. Golden yellow. Nice clarity with a half a finger head. The nose is explosive. Tons of grapefruit and a touch of lemon. Oh boy. There’s that mosaic. Very soft start with all of the right flavors. The malt gets out of the way. There is a harsh cannabis taste and a touch of honey sweetness that detracts. Everything else is solid

Tap at RateBeer Gallery III. Pours clear dark gold with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is very "citra". It’s so citrus it’s moving on to dank. Woof! Finishes smooth citrus and bitter. Excellent.

Pitch black, far from oily hard to get much of a nose on this one. A touch of chocolate maybe? No where as flavorful as Kelly’s or cigarettes. Sweet chocolate with creamy milk and burnt marshmallows summarize this one. Burnt ash and ashtray sort of make it hard to finish. I can see this one evolving ad look forward to trying it again

Mild brown to black. Nitro like head. Very roasty like ash and chimney. Touch of pine and grapefruit skin on the nose. Yeah , taste is hard to swallow. Intense dark chocolate cake with rye and peppercorn. Way too toasty without letting up
