Description

330ml bottle [courtesy of Claudius, thank you very much!]. Cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, thick, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Relatively weak, minimally spicy, pale malty, slightly yeasty fruity and minimally floral aroma, hints of orchard fruit, minimally muesli-like character. Taste slightly dry, grassy and floral hoppy, slightly yeasty fruity and minimally bready and spicy, pale malty, hints of chamomile, a touch of pepper, orchard fruit. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Harmonious and balanced, refreshing - pretty decent.

Huge fluffy, whipped eggwhite-like head over veiled but glowing orange-golden beer. Oranges, vegetable, bit soapy, bamboo, freshly cut green beans, some green malts. Sweet main taste, with a remarkable whisky-barreled flavour, if very faint, not to be missed. Wet grains, again slightly vegetal. Bit slick, very well-carbonated, rather light body. Every new sip renews this whisky barrel lagering impressiong. If it is, why not mentionning on the label? Intriguing. Txs to Stef!

Bottle(s) from House of Trembling Madness dot com. It pours pretty clear lemon yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is damp oak, dirty funk, barnyard, brett, sweaty, damp hay, lemon - lime, gooseberry, fermenting fruits, white wine, sherbet, tangfastics, some spice and straw. The taste is crispy, firmly dry, snappy, minerality, crunchy, peppery spice, straw, damp hay, lemony sherbet, some gooseberry, sherbet, old dirty lemon, spritzy, funk is more mellow than on the snout, brett, snap of peppery spice and dry oak with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate+ foamy carbonation. Love this. Great combo. Moreish.

Hazy amber with a white head. Smells beeady, with a little spice and bittersweet citrus. Flavour bittersweet orange, a little peppery spice, a little pine, a proper yeastiness. Punchy, sweet, slightly warming and very drinkable.

0.75L bottle bought at Brussels Airport; hazy orange to bright amber colour, minimal creamy ecru head; aroma of foral, fruity (apple, some pear peel, maybe grape and peach), earthy and some yeasty notes; taste is similar to the aroma with some orange peel and grapefruit; good one

Huge, fluffy, just off-white head over veiled yellow-copper beer, finely carbonated. Sucade, bit ginger-ish, preserved orangepeel. 'Hot' malts. More very strong-flavoured spices, preserved orange & ditto ginger, sushi style. Fruit & ginger cake. Medium bodied, very slick, medium to well carbonated. Bit weird. If this is drinking Bruxellois, as it says on the label, the Brusseleirs are a perfumey lot. It's not really everyone's drink, no? Txs to Stef!
