Description
A humble brewery making honest beer.
After years honing our skills in the brewing and process industry, we set forth to create a brewery with a simple mission; to produce honest beer. The result is a 7,000bbl brewery located in Northern Vermont that is capable of brewing any style of ales and lagers. The brewery takes inspiration from lesser known European beer styles, along with local Vermont life to guide our brews. The attention to detail, modern equipment, and love for beer help produce truly authentic, unique beers. Cheers!

This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a hazy pale yellow with a light transparency enough to allow some carbonation to be seen rising. A one finger white foamy head started and hung around for a good minute. Lacing is spotty yet foamy here and there.
The smell had a huge amount of grapefruit running into sweet to bitter citrus rind. Sweet pulp of grapefruit smacks a super light pine underneath. Sour citrus is really light.
The taste takes all of the previously mentioned flavors and melds nicely. Salt is barely there, so it tastes even more refreshing than other goses. Sticky bitter to sour lemon /grapefruit aftertaste leads into the finish.
On the palate, it runs light and refreshing subjugation my tongue to sticky sour sweetness. Personally, it feels great to me.
Overall, as much as I like this beer for what it is to me and what Lost Nation did with it, I can’t quite right call this a true gose. To me, it’s a really good Berliner Weisse.

Bottom of the can reads: 07/30/2015.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy pale yellow to orange color with a quarter finger’s white foamy sustaining head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing moderately roamed around the glass.
The smell had a florally sweet to freshly cut grassy to citrus and melon blending in nicely to each other.
The taste balanced between the bitter and the sweet with a creamy melon background wonderfully setting aside a creamy sweet aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation runs light allowing the harshness to be the bitterness.
Overall, as a session IPA, this one definitely works. Its low bitterness helps it to remain crushable. Good job, Lost Nation!

Bottle @ home via trade. Cage was extremely tightly wound and the cork immediately shot off. Pours a clear, golden yelloiw-orange appearance with a huge white head. Black pepper, spicy yeast, funky brett, grass/herbal, somewhat fruity nose. The aroma nicely shows off the brett. The flavor is also pretty peppery though there is a little bit of plastic. Quite herbal. Pretty refreshing. Fun to drink.

The diamond, brooklyn tap: pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is lactic acid, coriander, and citrus. Taste is relatively sour with a lot of lemon and spice. Mild aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Bottle at Matt’s. Cloudy yellow color, white head. Aroma of earthy grapefruit, light pineapple. Taste is earthy but also a bit salty with mixed citrus. OK.

Bottle - look for the word Brett on the side in fairly small lettering. Thanks Reynolds314!! Pours hazy straw, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is dusty, citrus, passionfruit, hints of Bretty funk. Flavor is light sweet and very light bitter, a hint of funk and lots of bright citrusy grapefruit. Salt prominent on the finish. Light body, very high carbonation; let it breathe a bit if you can. Yum.

A hazed blonde Gose with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity butterscotch candy, floral and smooth. In mouth, a strange concoction, with light lemony notes, light salty notes, light butterscotch which doesn’t belong, OK. On tap at Vermont Tap House.

Bottom of the can stamped 07 / 07/15.
This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. Light speckled carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Barely any lacing was left in the wake of the head.
The smell started off with a crisp refreshing blend of sour wheat to sweet citrus grabbing my nose and punching it with a fairly sharp orange rind.
The taste takes the previously mentioned flavors to combine and add a light dose of salt to taste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation comes across restrained but good.
Overall, I say this was a pretty nice crisp refreshing gose that I would have again.

Many thanks to Rian! Nice fresh sourish beginning. A bit too mouldy, not too sourish. Fruity sourish aftertaste with hints of mould. Nice.
