Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2012, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX.Clear medium yellow - amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, plastic, nutty, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, plastic. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120807]

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, 07/04/13. Hazed pale golden with a thin off white head. Nose carries peas, vegetal strains, musty - meh! Taste comprises veg, pea soup, light fruit, sugars, hint of citrus. Medium bodied, moderate carnonation, light bitterness in the finish. I see this beer was last rated almost 2 years ago in June 2011, I wouldn’t be overly surprised to find that this was the same cask !!!

Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours clear gold with a light foam head. Tangy lemon nose, some hay. Light sweet flavor, some hay, dirt and straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Toasty hay finish, faint sweetness. Basic. So so.

GBBF. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Soapy malt - pretty gross. This must be badly infected surely? Dry finish. Love the idea of the little hop garden - need to try a non infected batch.

Cask (Eight Bells, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) - Amber in colour. Marmalade, malt and sultanas in the aroma. Fruity and moderately bitter taste with notes of malt, marmalade, nuts and dried fruit standing out.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour. Marzipan, fruitcake, almonds and malt in the aroma. Rich and fruity taste with notes of fruitcake, nuts and toffee standing out.

Cask@GBBF2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, quite rubbery and sulphury with mild herbal notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, herbal and sweet malty with some mild sulphur as well.

Cask at GBBF. It pours golden yellow-amber, with a medium white head. The nose is juicy tropical fruit: banana, pineapple, mango and such like. The taste is pineapple, orange, tangerine, pithy, caramel and banana, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Smooth, well balanced and tasty. Good stuff!

Pigs Ear. Clear very dark brown beer. Softish palate, a bit dry. Rich malt with a slight dark feel. Not bitter. Very well balanced with rich dark fruit. Finishes with more dark character malt - almost coffee like. Light and dry.
