Description
A former cuckoo brewery, Stockport Brewing installed its own eight-barrel plant initially under the iconic Stockport Viaduct in 2014. It then moved to a larger, modern facility in the Bredbury Industrial Estate north of Stockport. The beers are widely available throughout the UK through a trading agreement with other breweries.

Stockport Beer Festival 2016. Extremely dark ale. The cherry influence is interesting, with the fruit dominant, but dark malts also evident behind this.

Cask (handpump) @ The Tap, 1 Derwent Street, Derby, Derbyshire, England DE1 2ED. [ As Stockport Halo ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, cookie, biscuit malt, pale malt, apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, earthy, biscuit malt, pale malt, sharp, apple notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160220]

Rochdale Beer Festival 2015. Amber with a glow. Has a sticky sweet character. Has a sugary fruitiness in its nose and a touch of toffee in its taste.

Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Lightly hazy deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, modest carbonation. Very tangy fruits, edging toward sour. Mild floral bitterness before a semi dry finish. Just another (tangy) porter.
