Description
A former cuckoo brewery, Stockport Brewing installed its own eight-barrel plant initially under the iconic Stockport Viaduct in 2014. It then moved to a larger, modern facility in the Bredbury Industrial Estate north of Stockport. The beers are widely available throughout the UK through a trading agreement with other breweries.

Cask (gravity) @ 32th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2015, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Stockport Bitter Lemon ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good to fair lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus - lemon, tea. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus - lemon fruity, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151202] 6-3-7-3-13

[ As Stockport Strawberry Stout ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, strawberry. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, tart, sweet malt - sweet fruit - light strawberry jam, dark malt, strawberry notes. Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An amber pour with a loose white head; leafy hop aroma; dry biscuity taste with a touch of citrus; and a grassy, herbal bitterness. A straightforward, old-fashioned bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 6/3/2017. Dark brown, with a slight, beige, head. Aroma of coffee,dark fruits and toasty malts. Flavour had more coffee, liquorice and some plain chocolate,before a dryish finish. Fine.

Cask @ Mallinsons Corner, Huddersfield. Golden-amber in colour. Hoppy and very palatable, perhaps sessionable with a dryness to its hop.

On tap at the Hop and Barley. Cola colour with a thin tan head. Toffee and fruity aroma and taste. Medium body.

Cask at the source. Deep clear brown color, tan head. Huge espresso grounds and cocoa aroma. Taste is earthy coffee grounds. Light body. Very tasty.
