Can from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is resinous hops with grapefruit, orange, malt, caramel. Bittersweet flavour, quite the resin-bomb with classic C-hops. Medium body. Some more fruitiness would have been nice. Caramalt.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', canned in November 2024. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, fairly smoky aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, ash and smoked ham. Fairly sweet, malty, very roasty, fairly smoky, minimally fruity taste of dark chocolate, licorice, ash, hard roasted coffee, some smoked ham and hints of dark fruits, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, ashy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Intense and saturating beer, quite demanding, really good but not for the faint-hearted.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Big rauch with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Notes of ash and peat, body could be more full. Hint of smoked pepper. Smokey ashy finish, good rauch, deserves more body.

Can from Beer in a Box. Less outright peated than expected, it's a fairly well-rounded Smoked Porter with notes of roast and coffee.

From tap at Persee, Deventer. Sabro coconut in the aroma, with citrus, tropical fruits, weedy dille, orange, and mango. Moderate to medium bitter, light sweetish. Body is medium. Very good unit, I love me some of that Sabro hop.

From tap at Proeflokaal MOUT, Groningen. Nicely roasty aroma with chocolate, fruity hops, citrus, light pine, some coffee. Bitter flavour with a light sweetness. Medium body. Very nice, a solid BIPA, big roast.

Can. Aroma is grassy green hop with a little hop burn. Citrus, weedy hop, orange, light tropical with some mango. Fairly bitter for the style, hop burn. Body is medium. Could be more smooth.

From tap at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Dank Mosaic with grass, oniony hop, citrus, green hop, tropical notes, some pineapple, soft pale malt. Moderate bitterness, only lightly sweetish. Medium body. A pretty dank IPA.
