Description
We opened our doors in Brixton in mid 2013 with the aim of teaching Londoners how to make beer. We have expanded operations at this site to offer up to 30 draught lines featuring our commercially available beers, exclusive nano brews and guest beers plus a large stock of cans and bottles to take home. We remain one of the very few venues in London to stock home brewers with hops, malt and yeast.

Shared at the Cotteridge Convention, 2018. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy lasting off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong liqouirce bitter with a smooth rich liqouirce bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can from Fresh Fields Market, Croydon. It pours clear copper with a small beige head. The aroma is quite sweet, creamy, lemonade, melon, apple, ice cream float and lemon iced tea. The is soft, sweet, toffee, caramel, American cream soda, lemonade, melon, pear, apple, bit of booze, tannin, bit of spice, wood and iced tea with a drying finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. Fun idea, but a bit too sweet and sticky for my liking.

Bottle split at 36 Levels Lost, thanks to LKS, 17/04/18. Hazed golden orange with an off white covering. Nose is lemon sherbets, damp cloth, straw, toasted grains, mild pissoi. Taste is thinner compared to the rather vibrant nose for a 0.5% ABV beer comprising tarte citric peel, damp hay, grains, light funk, sweat, tangy peach. Light but not overly thin in body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sharp citric tickle. Solid stuff for the ABV.

Can from Fresh Fields Market Croydon and drunk at home. Hazy dirty muddy amber brown colour lasting cream head. Some toffee on the aroma. Some very soft simcoe hops in the mouth, light gooseberry and grapefruit. slight bitterness. Some lasting sweetness. Not huge hop. a subtle APA I guess. Caramel malty apa. fine. If more malty than most apa these days.

Draft at Eebria. A slightly murky pour and a quite amazing aroma of chocolate from the top of the glass. The taste was all about that chocolate and it was really quite amazing. And it was classy chocolate, Green & Blacks, not your cheap and cheerful stuff. This had a very rich mouthfeel and we were glad that we only had the one.

Draft at Eebria. An amazing nose of fruity hops that resulted in a surprisingly subdued taste. This was perfectly drinkable, but it didn't get me shouting from the rooftops. The aroma was very good though.

Bottle thanks to LKS. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The aroma is musty, brioche, sweaty armpits, lactic and some cheesy action. The taste is dry, bitter, tart, lactic, good mouth - pucker, peach yoghurt, nectarine, fruit juice and earth with a soft finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Not sold on the aroma, but it tastes good for the abv.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 17/04/2018. Many thanks! A light hazed golden coloured pour with a loose halo of white head. Aroma is pear drops, citrus, zesty, light grains. Flavour is composed of swet and tangy citrus lemon rind, pineapple, lemon shurbert. Palate is semi sweet and tangy, moderate carboantion. Quiet odd.

Bottle shared in CW - picked up at the lab. Pours murky gold with a slim, white foam head. Some pine needles in the nose, aged lemon peel, crackers. Light sweet flavour with mild acidity, more piney notes, a little grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly bitter finish, citrus peel, lemon. Not bad.
