Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Smagning Ulfborg, 2013. Pours clear golden with a white head. Lovely hoppy nose and flavor. Citrus and grapefruit. Crisp, bitter and dry. Easy and just another tasty Moor.

(Bottle shared with Tony@The Lord Alwold) Pours a dark brown/black colour with a small to medium tan head. Has a roasted malty aroma and taste with hints of chocolate, licorice, and fruit cake, sweet at first with a roasted slightly bitter finish. Good stuff!

Bottle, at Christianssands Brygghus. It pours a semi-clear golden colour and a small off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the citrusy, piney side, with some malty notes. The flavour too is mostly on the hoppy side. Pine cones, resins and bitterness, with a touch of sweetness towards the end. Medium to full body with pleasant carbonation. One of the best British bitters I’ve had. 130314

Bottle at Bruce’s 30th. It pours hazy light golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is sherbet, orange, tangerine, fresh peach, creaminess and pine. The taste is quite dry, pine, orange, citrus peel, grapefruit, tangerine, touch of alcohol and pepper with a dry, lightly citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well integrated flavour and high level of bitterness. Tasty.

Keg at Catford Bridge Tavern. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is smoke, wood, leather and bacon. The taste is orange peel, leather, wood, smoke, spice, rye bread, earth and decent bitterness with a dry, lightly smokey finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting, but I doubt I could drink much of it.

Bruce’s birthday tasting st the craft. Big piny grassy citrus nose. Orange cloudy white head some lacing. Thick chewy hop palate. Firm bitter finish.

Bottle @ YNWA. Huge creamy head with excellent duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, caramel, malt and hops. Crisp clean taste.

Draught at Monk’s Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear deep golden, firm head. Concentrated salty arom with dried citrus peels and sweat. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Actually dominated by salty bitterness from early on. Well structured malt, but those Jester hops aren’t really shining.

Bottle. Deep brown liquid with big light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, biscuit, red berries and fresh coffee. Taste is light sweet and low to medium bitter with notes of fresh coffee, biscuit and red berries. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Great porter.

Cask at the Euston Tap 01/02/13. Murky orange/amber with a thin off white head that recedes to leave but a swirl. Nose is light hops, soured fruits. Taste comprises caramel, fruits, touch of sugars, malty. Medium bodied with a dry finish. Ok.
