Rating #7000; 2015 bottle, nr. 7152, 6.0%vol. Slightly hazy deep copper color with no head. Aroma is cooked apples, gummibears, vanilla, definitely some spices here, even a touch smoke/burnt firecrackers wtf? Taste is sweet apples, concentrated, a touch tannins, Bratapfel, honey, vanilla. Slightly tannic finish, sweet, viscous mouthfeel on the one hand, but a bit watery on the other hand. Flat. Very tasty, but it lacks the depth of some other Ice Ciders (maybe because eisbocking Cidre is inherently not as great as freezing the fruit before juicing). There is not enough acidity to balance the sweetness, though this is somehow okay because the mouthfeel is rather light (at only 6% ABV).

Shared from tap at Takanoya. Clear gold with a sweet apple aroma. The taste is sweet easy drinking apple and yet gives you a tiny piquante spicy bite. Incredibly easy drinking sweet tasting but it remains pretty dry.

75cl bottle (7.5%) Cuvée 2015 from the producer. Pours clear spritzy gold, aroma presents delicate apple fragrance. Taste is spritzy, dry, thin with a champagne-like mouthfeel. Apple presence is faint, yet defined and though suits the style, with crisp green apple & skins. Good spritzy cidre.

From shared bottle at Maakun’s. Clear golden with some greyish bubbles. Sweet ol’ moldy apple peels, treebark, icelandic moss, light skinned almond nuttiness, something funky brooding underneath. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at home. Clear golden with fizzy white head that leaves a ring of bubbles. Sweet apple juice, bubblegum, massive deep funk, dry apple peel, soft pear, light pastry, mineral notes. Under medium sweet, light apple peel bitter. Under medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Not bad at all.

Small screwcap bottle shared. Clear golden with short lasting fizzy head. Horse sweat, medium sweet apples, mango, hay, light moss, apple juice, it has some dry and funny notes but not like dried apple skin. The funk and juice seem somehow separate here. Some light pear and lemon as well. Medium sweet and a hint of bitter funk. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Great.
