On tap thanks to Patrick. My God this stuff is awesome!!! I could drink it all day and every day. Pours a deep hazy brown with a cappuccino colored head. Great lace. Aroma of bourbon, oak, honey, chocolate, floral, perfumey, molasses and maple, Taste is bourbon, chocolate, caramel, oak, a bit of charred barrel, maple, leather, cola and licorice. I can’t wait till this weekend to try this again. Awesome! Syrupy mouthfeel, mouth coating and creamy. At 15% alcohol is quite well hidden. THIS BEER ROCKS!! It makes me very excited to try all of the base beers even if the sum is greater than its individual parts (although it is an even blend of all three beers).

Sent in a picture of the bottle to be uploaded. On tap for this rate. I originally tried this with Tyler straight from the fermenter after only a week of brewing. Now the finished product (still have a bottle to try from too). Pours with a small, tight white head covering a hazy golden body. Aroma is nice with some floral hops, citrus, a bit of brett, pepper and spice. Taste is quite refreshing with a nice brett character (although it tasted stronger in the fermenter). Spice and esters as well. Dry and very well balanced. Lively carbonation, dryish mouthfeel, quite refreshing and enjoyable. Will be fun to see how these bottles age with the brett. Another amazing beer from the Bruery.

Pours deep mahogany into a tumbler. Off-white head with excellent retention leaves spot lacing as it recedes to hug rim. Sour cherry and wheat aromas. Sweet dark caramel and crisp upfront, slightly cloying sour cherry and apricot finish.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - this beer has balls, probably more so than any beer I’ve had in quite some time - of course, that’s not always good, but this one worked it out okay - a lot of bourbon and vanilla in the nose - flavor is vanilla, coconut, charred oak - dark fruits, black cherries, dough, brown sugar - sweet, but not as much as you’d expect in something so strong - it actually gets a little tart and tannic in the long term - some british barleywine character through the middle - tannic again in the finish - reminds me a bit of Capt. Lawrence NorEaster, but not quite as complex or balanced - quite palatable for its strength, though.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - I came at this not knowing what kind of beer it was supposed to be, so it was an interesting experience - the first few sips tasted all biere de garde, with a lot of biscuity, crackery malts and dry, cobweb notes - hints of innocuous fruitiness - however, with further sips, those hops really started to take over the beer - very earthy, pine-like, citrusy, zesty and peppery -very ipa-like - this quality wasn’t bad, but I was disappointed that it kept getting in the way of the belgian character and earthiness - still, another solid ale from these guys, even if it doesn’t know what it wants to be

Cask and Spuyten Duyvil - cloudy straw color, almost completely still - nose of peach skins, tropical fruits, mild acidity, subtle, young funkiness - the flavor is tangy and lemony up front, followed by peach and pineapple - tart, but not quite sour, with a very mellow leathery character - quite refreshing and easy-drinking for a sour, which is a nice change of pace (it’s nice to have a sour you can drink an entire glass of) - the chardonnay comes through quite a bit in the finish, and the tropical fruits come back from underneath the young lambic-ish elemtents - an acetic kick on the back end reminds you what the beer is supposed to be - the bugs still have a lot of room to develop here, but I’m a fan on this young.

Bottle courtesy of Kegbear: Poured a cloudy light orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma is dominated by dry coriander and huge wheat malt. Taste is also a nice mix between some dry coriander with loads of wheat malt with light cloves ester and a dry slightly hoppy finish. Full body with limited filtration and great carbonation with no signs of alcohol. I thought this was very interesting if maybe a tad over spiced.

Bottle - pours a hazy dark gold, with a sudsy film on top - earthy/wheat/hay in the nose at first, with some peach sweetness underneath, as well as light spicy hops and faint whiffs of brett character - low carbonation, medium-bodied - zesty and peppery up front - moderate bitterness, with some flinty qualities, and some very young brett qualities/dustiness - some peach sweetness through the middle, followed by peppery hops as it dries out again in the finish - once the brett really kicks in, and this gets even more dry, it will be kick ass, but even now it is very good - reminds me of fresh Saison Dupont - finally, an American brewer that can make great Saisons.

Pours lightly hazy, with an effervescent body, and a foamy, moderately sustained head - lightly wheaty aroma, with some belgian yeast phenols, citrus peel, wildflowers, honey, fairly strong coriander - the carbonation is tingly and full in the mouth - the flavor is quite dry, with a moderate yeastiness - the oats add a lightly creamy texture, and give the beer a little more body, both of which compliment the yeast flavors - dusty and lightly peppery - the lavender comes on strong through the middle, as does a bit of tartness - a nice spicy bite at the end - some lemongrass character - subdued and refreshing - I prefer the imperial version, but this is nice.
