Clear light gold blond beer, creamy white to off-white head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: grains, hay, cow fodder, corn, light struck? MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: grains, hay, gentle bitterness, a little fruity, quite some pears. Aftertaste: malty, grains, hay, grassy, bitter touch, ok but not very good.

Aroma: Dark malt, caramel, notes of spice, dried fruit, raisins, chocolate, with hints of licorice. Moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body. Something like a cross between a stout and a strong Belgian dark ale. Not quite my cup of tea, but an interesting beer, quite different.

Pretty cloudy dark amber brown beer, creamy dense off-white head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: oxidized, sweet impression, caramel, some chlorine, chocolate, gentle roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, very oxidized, sweet touch, quite some caramel, soft roast, some chocolate, some citrus, nice! Aftertaste: more oxidized, a bit roasted, caramel, soft acidity, a little weird, fruity touch, some red berries, a little bitter, more oxidized.

A dark Belgian strong ale, one of my preferred styles. And it is Buffalo Trace bourbon barrel aged, only better. Let us see if my expectations are met. Using a tulip glass, I open the 33 cl bottle and pour. The body is brown-amber and the head shows a parchment tan color before settling promptly to a decent skim. I smell dark fruit, grain and a bit of booziness, all somewhat subtle. The taste is all right but blander than I hoped. Yellow plums, cereal, a bit of hard candy, malt, raisins and just a hint of the bourbon. A decent beer, unfortunately not one that pops with flavor.

Explosive gushing to as much beer on the table as in the glasses. Ending in a good yellowish head over some metallic orange beer. - 2 points. Pharmaceutical, Brasil nuts, wild yeasts, arachide. Old, oxydized nuts, oxydized malts, and Brettanomyces, of course. Paste made from... scorzanero? Of course overcarbonated. Slick, medium bodied. Bretts as an infection, I fear. Txs to Stef!

Bottled. Poured dark with moderate, not long lasting head. Malty dark fruity aroma. Nice chocolatey taste. Very well done.
