Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol March 2012. Golden with a slight white head. Massive, tropical fruit and grapefruit aroma with some balancing malt sweetness. Flavour had more fruit, creamy malts and massively dry finish. Very good.

Hand pulled pint taken at The Cask Pub and Kitchen, London Nov 2011. Red/Russet body, clear, with an off-white head, full and lasting. No great aromas, some malty caramel hints with a citrus hop element maybe. The taste is an easy blend of semi-sweet malty molasses and grapefruit/citrus flavours from the unknown American hops (Cascade I should think). The malts come to the fore at the initial sip with the hops giving a mildly bitter finish. 5.9% ABV: didn’t feel or taste that strong, so they’ve hidden the alcohol nicely, this is a well made brew, my first from this brewery, hope it’s not the last one I get a chance to try.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 29/02/2012. Golden coloured with a slight white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, peaches and pine. Flavour was also sweet, with a buttery edge, some orange fruit and a lengthy bitter finish. Didn’t work for me.

Cask at The White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks late last summer. An amber coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Healthy citrus/tropical fruit aroma. Tastes of citrus/tropical fruit, hoppy, quite bitter. Surprisingly drinkable.

Cask, handpump at Seven Stars, Bristol 27.12.11 Very good IPA, excellent bittersweet balance, nicely citrussy with a pithy grapefruit rub around the gums and across the roof of the mouth. Tasty stuff. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7
