Bottle that I picked up from Westholme Londis, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, consumed at Cropredy Festival 2008 Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Quit bizarrely I get sausage and chocolate on the nose? Interesting combination but strangely one that works quite well. Chocolate and a thin sasparilla taste, carbonation is soft, in short this is a nice beer.

Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet aroma with ripe fruits and caramel. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruits and hoppy notes. Ends bitter.

A dark black porter with a thick moka head. Light chocolate aroma with light lactic notes and light Brett. In mouth, good roasted malt, bitter chocolate and coffee notes. Nice little lactic notes, and peaty notes. Medium bodied. An excellent porter. Tasted Late nov. 2006. BB 12-0409

Cask, Bag O’Nails, Bristol. Hazy golden colour with a thin whiteish head. Aroma was a bit meek; slightly grassy with a hint of citrus and hop. Sweetish malt tinged flavour with further citrus hints. Refreshing enough and not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 15/06/08. This was pleasant enough with out making a huge impact. Amber coloured with a slight off-white head. Aroma had some fruit, biscuit malt and earthy hops. Flavour had a tinge of sweetness to start before a decent bitter finish. Ok.

Cask handpull at The Rake, Borough Market. Cellar run. Gold. Bizarrely a bit like a Belgian blond. Bit of rose petal. Oddly nice and the first cellar run I’ve had at this pub so hats off to the guy behind the bar.

Cask handpump @ The Back of Beyond, Reading RG1, England.Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - lemon sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. (010508)

Cask condition cellar run Ship & Mitre BF April 08. Gold with a slight haze. Belgian yeast on aroma? A bit like a Belgian blond, some peach/rose petal. Interesting and completely different to everything else I tried at this BF.

Cask at the Market Porter in London. Nice floral hop aroma. Golden amber color with a nice off-white head. Near medium body with very smooth carbonation. Good amount of floral hop over relatively light malt. Quite good drink.

[26/4/2008 - score 8/3/8/4/14 (3.7)] Cask at the North Wiltshire Beer Festival]. Very floral, with a leafy taste that for some reason made me think of ivy. Unusual, refreshing and very enjoyable. [8/9/2015 re-rate - score 8/4/8/4/17 (4.1)] Vivid clear gold with a moderate white head. strongly floral up front with refreshing lemon following through. Good rich mouthfeel, great balance of sweet, rich, dry and bitter. Incredibly refreshing and moreish. A sensational golden ale! Score entered is the average of all ratings.
