Cask @ Post Office Vaults. Has a defined toffee malt character with a few custard creams in the mix. Slight bitterness. Not really my thing.

Cask at Craft Clerkenwell. It pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is juicy pine, grainy, honey, resin, orange, grapefruit and white grape. The nose is bitter-sweet, big white grape character, hay, straw, oily pine and juicy grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rather tasty actually. Good work.

Cask at Lyric SoHo. It pours hazy pale brown with a thick off-white head. The nose is wood, earth, caramel, leather, citrus and light smoke. The taste is earthy, wood, spice, chalky, big bitter kick, leather, some astringency, citrus rind and metal with a very dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A bit all over the place. Rough around the edges for sure. Odd.

Had this at Oxford Beer Festival, Oxford, Thursday 17th October 2013 Light gold in colour with a slim head of white dancing bubbles, clarity is excellent, best looking beer so far. A little butteryness on nose is only just edged out by citrus. Sweet golden beer that is lacking a little bite, it is hoppy and with a reasonable bitterness but it is found wanting a little and is no match for the two Clarkshaw efforts. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2
