After trying 60 or so new French brews last month I've raided the cellar again for something similar to keep the style memories flowing, and as I'm not the only person rating this in the last hour I already know it's a good one! Spices prominent, fruit, herbs, excellent body. Pale malts. Bitter-sweet.

Today is World Refrigeration Day, and I'm marking it by thoroughly chilling this beer in my own fridge before drinking this evening. Golden in colour and style, slightly dry texture, pleasant hoppiness. Enjoyable fruity notes in both aroma and taste.

Seems appropriate as the summer continues in full flow today, and first beer since ending my summer holiday - probably spend the next few months rating the 130+ new tastes I've had over the last fortnight on the road. This one is very similar to the many of the same style I've had in France recently, with strength and a hoppiness combining well for a full-bodied but palate friendly brew.
