The name of the 90's UK sitcom '2 Point 4 Children' referred to the average amount of children per woman aged 45 in the country at the time of writing. If it was commissioned today it would be called '1 point 9 Children' - not as catchy a title! '3 Point 4' would have been a good Ratebeer rating, but I wouldn't have given that to this bland in taste light malts effort. Citrus elevates its aroma.

Bottle. Nose is malt, bread, brown sugar, a little spice. Taste is malt, brown bread, slightly medicinal hop note, hint of anise, slight citrus. Thinner than you might expect but nice

Amber beer with thick, creamy head, yeasty slightly funky aroma, some spices, creamy in the mouth with a touch of fruity yeast, cereals and a light sponge cake finish with a long herbal bitterness. Very drinkable but not amazing.

Two monarchs' of Britain, both called Edward have never been crowed, the latest - Edward VIII had a coronation date set for 12 May 1937, but this was abandoned after his abdication. A tradition ale to celebrate a traditional ceremony. Good hop-malt notes here, fairly balanced, very English style taste and ingredients to be enjoyed. A tad floral.

Time capsule beer with the news today whilst i'm drinking this including of the election of Pope Leon XIV, the UK does a trade deal with the US which lowers President Trump's recent tariffs, and the 80th anniversary events for VE Day take place. I tentatively opened this beer as the first one for an evening of drinking given that ginger has the potential to ruin subsequent beers, but whilst it's evident it's light in this instance. It's also hardly noticeable in aroma.
