500 mL can from Market Street Wineshop in Charlottesville, Downtown location. Red pour with a medium sized head. Decent retention, low lacing. Fruity, appley, grainy aroma with no bitterness. Same with the taste. This tastes very much like a dry cider to me. Subtle bitterness at the end. Watery, metallic.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized, light-beige foamy head. Light-sweet and discreet toasty malty aroma with liquorice, toffee and an aromatic lemon-fruity and piney hoppy blend. Light-bitter flavour, rather slim bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy carbonation. Slim toast-malty and fruity taste, slightly nutty with liquorice; moderately dry and slightly bitter finish with fruity hops A bit slim but still pretty aromatic brew (24.05.08).

[on tap at the Warwick Arms, Reading] I had the "chilled" version of this because there were no other bitters available in this pub. Thick creamy lasting nitrokeg head despite negligible carbonation. Utterly tasteless while chilled apart from a faint bitterness this tasted not just watery, but actually like water Allowed it to warm to see if this bought out any flavour, but no. Still almost tasteless - a faint mustiness, and a slightly more discernable bitterness. Hint of sourness in the aftertaste. The most tasteless beer I’ve yet encountered, and I feel that to call it a beer at all is an insult to beer. It is certainly in no way an IPA. For one of the very few times in my life I wish I’d had a macro lager instead

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a dense/creamy off-white head. Light hoppy and caramel malt aroma. Flavour is light hoppy at first before a nice breadish malt flavour takes over. Light fruity hops flavour before and into the finish. Nicely balanced in the end.

(Cask at Quinns, Camden Town, London, 27 April 2008) Dark amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, apricots and a hint of sulphur. Fruity taste with dark fruit, slightly artificial with earthy hops in the finish. Rather sweet, medium body. Drinkable, but with definite macro character.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden red with a lacing white head. Alcohol and overripe fruity dense aroma. Fruity flavour with a light metallic note. Alcohol presence and warmth towards the finish. More of the same overripe fruit into the finish. Distinct warming alcohol presence in the far finish. Nice, smooth and flavour/powerful.
