500 ml bottle from Sainsbury. Pale copper, thin white head. Trademark GK yeasty with some toast, caramel and hop. Nice citric hop finish, some tingly feel. I’ve had worse.

500ml bottle from Sainsbury. Amber colour with thin white head. Nice hop and some goodish malt on the aroma. Toffee and some coffee. Just not as good as on draught. Boy that pasteurisation/filtration, it just strips all the flavour out and leaves a metallic feel in the mouth

Bottle 500 ml. A dark brown beer, didn’t note much of an aroma, but the taste was extremely pleasant with lovely silky toffee notes. Nice lingering finish.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet with primary notes of straw, combined with slight hints of acidity, leading to a hoppy end.

Medium creamy light beige head with a rash of larger bubbles. Chestnut brown body. Sweetish malty nutty aroma with hints of smoke. Taste is again nutty and sweetish, softly bitter aftertaste. A kind of metallic taste lingers which at first I found unpleasant, but which I got used to after a while. Well. Not enough taste, very little aroma hops. This is more like a weak bitter than an IPA, IMHO.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Boring beer. Just OK aronma and flavor. Nothing near an IPA as the bottle announces. Very watery. Avoid.

Half-liter can from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Nice deep copper colored pour, light tan head, about half an inch in a shaker. Good fresh beer smell, even a note of fresh hops. Nice caramel sweetness, plentiful but absolutely not cloying. As I said, hops taste very fresh and grassy, nicely balanced. For a force carbonated can, it does a slight approximation of an English draught in the slightly "watery" mouthfeel. Should have let this one warm up a little bit, perhaps.

(Cask at The Crown Charlton On Otmoor) A copper coloured beer that is a bit on the thin side, but with a clean bitter finish. Whilst no great shakes it is through lack of choice probably my regular tipple in my local. A good session beer, but where I live I’d rather the choice of Chiswick, Hooky, Youngs etc any day.
