Amber color. Poor aroma, light honey (?), stinks. Poor taste, dry, no character (very light malt, no hop aroma). Poor, simple, watery palate. As much drinkable as a Heineken.

There is nothing warming about this beer at all. When I hear the phrase winter warmer, I expect a lot of alcohol and a lot of flavor, both of which this beer lacks. It''s flavor is decent, but lacking in many respects. The body and finish are thin and watery. Not a very good beer, not terrible either, but I wouldn''t get this again.

Extremely dark brown. Moderately brown head of 1cm. Aroma of chocolate, almonds, light coffee. Very artificial chocolate sweetness like Nestle Quik chases away bitter roast barley notes. Cloying finish.

Barely discernible from McEwans Export. Some caramel in the flavour, well rounded, perhaps a bit thin. Drinkable stuff that shouldn’t offend anyone. Rerate (can): I understand why this beer is classified as a Scottish Ale at RateBeer, instead of an IPA - hardly any hops are discernible at all. But the brewers insist on calling it an IPA, so I guess it should be rated as such.

A black beer with a beutiful brown head. It has the aroma of smoked malt and tastes of chocolate and smoked malt - a real stout taste. A really good stout.

I certainly like this better than the draught can, but it loses a point on appearance because of its total lack of a head. The initial flavor has no chocolate at all, but the finish is dominated by tasty dark chocolate. Something about this reminds me of Fuller's London Porter, which of course is a good thing.

This one didn't really light a fire under any part of my body. Young's brews have all fallen a little flat for me with the notable exception of the Double Chocolate Stout. Pours an appropriate honey color with a medium off-white head. Very little honey in the aroma. Honey is understated in the flavor as well, but honestly there is probably a fine line between too little and too much honey, and I would rather lean the 'too little' way. Unfortunatley there really wasn't much hops or malt to back up the lack of honey flavor in this brew. Cool name though!

Dark amber. Big banana aroma. Rather sweet, really malty with lingering banana flavour. An interesting experiment, and well carried out.

A good beer - but for a bitter not very bitter - and not very creamy. It's a very drinkable beer with a good dark color and a good head (on tap)
