Saison? I’m not sure i agree with that. There was no funk, or barnyard aromas or flavors. This had the signature Unibroue yeasty esters, and light citric fruitiness. There was a little spiciness, but not much. To me this was just some blanche de chambly with a touch more spice, and quite a bit more carbonation.

Bottle at a party, offered to me. This was an effort by one of my friends to branch out from macro lagers.......man, i didnt have the heart to tell him he bought some nasty sleeman macro swill. But it shows hes been listening to my ramblings about unibroue having some really nice beers. Anyways......what can i say? Corny, sweet, cheap, blech!

Something different from Unibroue. Smells very much like a saison, lots of spicy/peppery notes. The flavour again, it very spicy like a saison, some nice hops, and a crisp clean finish.

typical unibroue strong ale. Their yeast strain is evident, lots of fruit, apples, pears, plums, oranges, figs. The flavour is much of the same, quite fruity, witha nice maltiness............good stuff, but very similar to their other strong belgians

I finally get to try this beer!
Ruby red pour, aroma of cherry jolly ranchers, and slight yeast. THe typical unibroue yeast comes through, but is lost in the slightly artificial juice flavor of the cassis. Not bad, but not great.

750ml bought at Metro Joanette in Verdun.
dark orange color, huge head, wonderful lacing. Aroma is spicy with loads of ripe fruit, especially apples, and cherries. Flavour is complex. Lots of fruitiness, apples, cherries, plum, and the ever present unibroue yeast profile. Finish is quite dry with a little hop bitterness with a very very nice cherry aftertaste. superb beer.

on tap at the Mondiale ’07.
very citrus aroma, and the typical unibroue yeast. THis is VERY similar to th Blanche de Chambly. A nice effort, but if you put both in front of me i would be stumped.

aroma is of ripe fruit, spice and yeast.
Flavour is spicy, and lots of the typical unibroue yeast. a very nice belgian ale, on par with their other efforts.

Well what can i say. Its a Pils. Nothing too exciting here, just a well made good solid pils. that pretty much sums it up.

aroma is very nice, lots of fresh apple. smells great. FLavous though, it different, it tastes artifical, and way too sweet. not one of my favorites.
