Not usually too keen on these vanilla concoctions, but this reminds me of the Milky Bar Kid! More than a pint would probably make me sick though....!

Cask handpull at The Barrel Vaults St Pancras. Clear amber colour lasting white head. Aroma of chocolate milk vanilla. Yes it has good condition and temperature. Good open easy drinking cask condition. Milk chocolate flavour. It's OK. Yes would expect a darker beer to give these flavours. But it's fine. Some dryness on the finish. A little sweet milk chocolate. It's fine.

Clear golden beer, white head. Smell has vanilla and white chocolate. Flavour follows suit l, but has a little zesty hop there too. Decent body and the vanilla and chocolate does linger. Doesn't really taste like a stout as is often the case with this style but it's a solid effort and very drinkable.

Cask at the Golden Lion, Rochford on 8th December 2023. Rated as a novelty ale. Virtually Impenetrably black with pale tan foam and scant lacing. Raspberries, spices, earthy pungency and just a hint of aniseed in aroma. Sweet raspberry and roasted malts in-mouth with dairy notes. A finish of raspberry dessert with roast malt. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
