Description
Founded in 2007, Ascot Ales was bought by Chris Davies in 2017. Together with his son, Conor, they rebranded to Ascot Brewing Company and have since launched a secondary, multi-award winning, craft beer brand, Disruption Is Brewing.
In 2020, we built a formidable 8,500 sq. ft Brewery and TapHouse, which boasts a massive mezzanine bar with 20 taps, and hosts all types of events from beer festivals to comedy nights and corporate events to private parties.
We believe beer is the social glue that binds communities together. By brewing remarkable, flavour-bursting beer and offering unrivalled, memorable experiences, we want to push the boundaries of what’s possible when great beer and people unite.
This means we need to be bold, and we need to be big.
In November 2019, we moved to an 8,500 sq. ft warehouse, built a massive 2,500sq. ft, 20 tap taproom, increased our brewing capacity and launched an innovative craft beer brand, Disruption is Brewing. Later they completely abanded the Ascot branding.

Handpull cask at the Wheatsheaf, Oakham. Reddish brown, clear with the weak combover equivalent of white head. Sweet-smelling with notes of porridge, strawberry liquorice and sweet caramel. Taste is sweet as well, with a berry flavour pervading to the finish. Flat but full enough body. Not particularly exciting but certainly drinkable, especially if you like your beers on the sweeter side.

Cask at Crown, Horsell. Sweet fruity aroma with a hint if pepper. Amber. slightly hazy. Bubbly white head. Medium bitter. The rye comes through, in fact it gets quite raw. Underlying almost medicinal element. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long very astringent finish. Not great. It's like they got carried away and chucked in way too much rye.

Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden with a creamy head. It has a sugary-metallic hoppiness in both aroma and taste.

Cask at the usual place... immediate raspberry aroma before underlying coffee comes through. Dark - but more of a muddy cola. May well be my imagination but does appear to have a ruby tint. Thin beige head. Medium sour. Some creamyness in the finish. Medium bodied. Low fat cream texture. Flat bodied. Long finish. Some astrigency. The raspberries really run the show and overpower the stout. Still, enjoyable enough.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Really have to stretch the nose muscles to pick up the low key if perfumed floral aroma. Dark brown. Frothy translucent white head. Light bitter with a sweet streak. Mutates into sweet and sour into the finish. Quite malty but the perfume in the aroma continues into a fruity almost Turkish Delight sweetness. Don't necessarily mix so well though. Mesium bodied. Thin. Flat. Long dry and slightly astringent finish. Certainly sessionable as advertised. But almost overshadowed by its aftertaste. It's bitter. Of course it's bland.
