Cask at the great British winter beer festival. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of light head. Aroma is semi sweet, rustic, twiggy roast, smoke. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, tangy dried fruits waxy, twiggy. Ok. Palate is semi sweet, little watery,

500 ml bottle, sampled in 2015. Pours chestnut brown with a beige cap. Aroma: pear, baked apple, fruity esters. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, biscuit malts, melon, citrus pith, pine, light boozy. Medium body with foamy carbonation.

Colne Beer Festival 2023. Hazy golden coloured ale. Hides its strength really well, although you can tell with a blast in its aftertaste. In between there's a decent fruitiness to be found, evident in both aroma and taste.

Colne Beer Festival 2023. Cloudy dirty-golden colour. Full-bodied with its strength evident but also full of citrus based tropical fruit notes, evident in both aroma and taste.

500ml bottle from Market Hall Wines, Durham Market. Gluten Free recipe. Slightly hazy orangey gold colour, big foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of wood, vanilla, spice. Taste is tangy, malt, sweetish, fruity, vanilla, woody, with some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle from Discovering Durham shop, Durham. Black brown colour, beige foam head and aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. Taste is dark malt, roasty, chocolate & coffee, some ash and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, oft carbonation, roasted ashy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Sportsmans, Hudderfield Feb 2022. Pours deep brown towards black with a tight creamy cap. Aroma: roasted malts, milk chocolate, mocha. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, lots of dark chocolate with a smidge of coffee & liquorice. Medium body with fine carbonation. Dry-ish finish. Served in glorious condition

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed dark gold. Very decent white foam. Oak and and watered down brandy. Spicy wine notes. Orangey Christmas vibe. Dry and lightly bitter with soft baked apple sweetness. Easy drinking for the ABV. Great nick. Dry light bitter finish.

18/12/2022. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, straw, yeast, light herb, touch of spice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with a tart edge. Moderate body, quite oily, prickly carbonation. Pretty decent.
