Description

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet fruit, malt, dusty hop, and a bit of oxidation due to the bottle being two years old, but still within the best before date. The flavor is sweet with notes of prunes, dark fruits, oxidation, malt, and some spices, leading to a dry finish. The body is light, but the alcohol leaves a slight burn on the tongue. Maybe better fresh?

750 ml bottle from Tanakaya. Fruity aroma with honey, plums, apples and a touch of citrus and brown sugar. Glowing, medium amber color with a bit more than lace. Very unexplosive. Sweet, fruity, honey-and-caramel flavor that lightens into apples and lemon at the mid-palate, these remaining and getting hoppy and more citric at the finish. Very interesting. Starts out seeming too sweet, but changes. Palate is rich and full, thinning toward the end. Really fascinating.
