21/04 0.75 l bottle from beershop.hr. It poured a murky orange body with medium sized ocher head. Nice Belgian yeast aroma, vanilla and some banana, sure, the cascade hops typical for the brewery are felt but less than in other beers, making it maybe even a bit rounded. Flavor is perfectly balanced as well, orange hoppy, vanilla and slightly sugary and creamy to make it smooth and well rounded. Spiced with some dried herbs like clove or even laurel. Full bodied and very pleasant. Long, slightly sweet and slightly orange peel bitter finish. Liked it a lot, actually the most of all beers from this fine brewery.

Pours dark copper color with tan head. Brown sugar and Belgian yeast aromas. Sweet caramel, toasted malt, yeast and dark fruit flavors. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

15/03 A 0.75 l bottle from beershop.hr, shared with Doggythedog. It poured murky brownish reddish body with medium sized head. Aroma of caramel, coffee and of course typical Rulles citrus hops, Amarillo I think. Coffee flavor, roasted malt shows also some sweet characteristics like caramel or chocolate. Everything is spiced and bittered up with already mentioned hops. Pleasant and full bodied for the ABV, this is also another great Rulles, maybe the best I’ve tried.

15/03 0.75 l bottle from beershop.hr, shared with Doggythedog. Poured dark orange body with small to medium sized head and black yeast particles inside. Amarillo hops again in the aroma, much less than in Estivale, but still dominating over (different, sweeter) orange yeast and honey malt. Flavor is pretty similar, slightly bitter citrus hoppy with good honey, caramel and vanilla malt base. Full bodied with longer finish. A fine hoppy tripel, but nothing special.

14/03 0.75 l bottle shared with Doggythedog, from beershop.hr. It poured murky golden to orange body with some small yeast particles floating inside. Orange (Amarillo) hops aroma, fine but simple, having about nothing more here. Flavor is hoppy as well, citrus bitterish with some subtle vanilla malty and yeasty base. Well, it’s quite fine and pretty tasty for the ABV, although quite watery. Finish is longer, smooth although hops have their bite. Much more like an IPA than a Belgian ale, it’s an interesting and fine brew.

0.75l bottle from the Croatian Beershop, shared with heavy. Poured a medium sized off white head on top of a murky dark red-brrown body. Coffee, some candied orange, dark maltiness, some light hopiness, a bit herbal. The taste was marked by the typical Rulles hopiness (American hops?), bitter, herbal and orange-like, but the beer is more malty than the others, carrying notes of caramel, coffee and chocolate. Still, kinda mild, and very well balanced. Coffee in the aftertaste too. I’d definitely drink it again.

Muddy amber, off-white, creamy head. Nose of caramel and spices. Complex and well balanced aroma. Moderately bitter, lightluy sweet flavour. Quite dry. Very nice, good complexity and balance.

0.75l bottle from the Beershop shared with heavy (thanks!). Poured a beautiful darker orange body, medium-small white head. Fine American hops in the nose, oranges, honey, typical Rulles (which isn’t a bad thing). The taste is fine and full, hop again, agrumey, on the bitter side. Some honey, somewhat yeasty. Light pine. A fine hoppy tripel, not too flashy, tasty.

0.75l bottle shared with heavy. Poured a medium to small chalky white head on top of a darker murky apricot body. Orangey hoppy nose showcasing the American hops, quite nice. The taste is more subdued than expected, but still nice. Dominated by a hoppy bitterness showing some agrumey qualities witnessed more strongly in the nose. It also continues to linger in the aftertaste. The maltiness shows itself, grainy. As I said, lighter than expect. Expected a bit more but it’s a nice drink, especially for the ABV.
