Can from Total wine Houston enjoyed at home. Lightly hazy deep gold in color with a thin bubbly white head that recedes quickly. Tart lightly sour fruit with hints of earth and bread to counter. Lightly metallic.

Can: Poured a deep black oil, thick with a light brown head. Aroma is fudge, chocolate, rich roasted malts. Taste is like drinking a dessert fudge brownie, rich chocolate, roasted malts.

A 12 oz bottle of Anniversary X was found on the shelf at a Spec's on North Central Expressway a couple of months back. A beer in one of my favorite styles, here we go. Lifting the bottle to a snifter from a Ft. Worth brewery, I make the pour. The appearance is a dark cola color completed by a creamy head of taupe foam. I get whiffs of ripe fruit, grain and something sweet. The drink is interesting without making it to great. Dark plums, raisins, chocolate, wheat bread, malt and a touch of floral from somewhere. Glad to score a tasting.

12 oz can, 4/4/23. Decided to break this out on the first decidedly non-sweater weather day of the year here in NJ, but what would probably still be sweater weather for most in TX. Pours a darker brownish color, slightly tan head, strong lace. Dark fruit, Belgian candied sugar. Quite sweet. Malt. A good bit of booziness. Weird beer. So sweet. Not so much of a winter warmer as a winter sugar comaer.

Can at DFW Saucer, 2/15/23, undated. Clear, amber-auburn. Beige head is small, well-retained. Juicy caramel, light, herbal hops. Toasted popcorn? Whew, so much caramel and buttered popcorn. Rich toasted bread, moderate bitterness. Vanilla, toffee...weird beer, sweet and malty yet somehow bready enough and floral hopped to balance. Sourdough lingering. Popcorn...toast. a bit too much specialty malt going on here.

On draft @Jaxon Beer Garden. Shiny black pour with a slight amber brown silhouette. Very sugary, vanilla & whiskey nose, more so vanilla. Toasty vanilla, sharp, rich, minerally, a little cola. Ashy malt. Sticky finish, quite boozy. Not bad.
