Found @ CitySuper, Tsim Sha Tsui. Sampled sitting on our Kowloon rooftop. Golden colour. Light hop aroma is grassy and herbal, the malt element of the aroma is a bit doughy. Not much for bitterness. Vague hop spiciness. Accent is on slightly toasty malts. OK macro gimmick.

I’ve caved in and gone for my first "Third Category Beer" rating. Oh no! Draught at McGloughlin’s. Pale gold color with a fine head. Sweet malty aroma with corn and adjuncts and just a touch of grassy hop. Sweet flavor. Corny, syrupy sweet, with a slight bit of citrus hops. Drinkable and cheap as hell but not particularly nice.

Draught at McGloughlin’s. Nitrogen. Nice pitch black color, with a light tan head. Rich roasty malt aroma with chocolate and milk. Light flavor of roasted malt, cream, wood. Smooth, silky body. Good enough. Taste a lot like their Black to me, though not quite as lively. A bottom-fermented stout.

Draught at Sapporo’s Kyoto Lion Pub. Shiny, pitch black with a fine, thick, tan head. Softly roasted malt aroma. Nicely rich malt flavor with chocolate, milk, roasted malt. Nice roastiness, mildly sweet. Rich body yet not heavy. Slight taste of nuts and wood as well. A nice beer, much better than in the can and yet not as good as the pre-2007 version.

Can (Thanks FatPhil) - Golden with a foamy white head. Malty and grassy aroma with some metallic elements. Malty taste with corn and a very mild bitterness.

Can. Not much aroma. Pale yellow, collapsing head. Actually ok mouthfeel, sparkly and chewy, grassy hops on straw malt. Quite ok.

Can. Brewed in Hokkaido, and only available here. An all-malt lager. Light golden color, usual. A nice, full-malt, slightly sweet aroma. Fruity with decent hops in there. Very fruity, slightly sweet, full malt flavor, with decent hops. Pretty nice tasting beer. Better malt flavor and fruitier than Ebisu, with less hops than it has, but still ok. It is reminiscent of Sapporo Black label, but lighter, hoppier, and with the a full malt taste. Not bad at all for a regular ¥207.

Draught at Q-Brick. 2009 version. It was a secret beer, and I swore it was an alt. Lovely reddish amber color. Fruity, caramel aroma. rounded, somewhat sweet, fruity flavor. Very ale-like. A nice beer, much better than from the can.

Draught. Lightly amber tinted golden color. Sweet malt is very well balanced by bitter noble hops. Not much hop aroma, but good bitterness. Much better fresh and on tap. Really a darn good major.
