(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 18 May 2023) Pale amber colour with brief bubbly head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with notes of apples, brown sugar and a touch of wood. Fruity, tart taste with apples, citrus, brown sugar, vanilla, woody tannins and a generous acidity in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Rich and tasty, with a balanced wood character and a solid acidity. Nice one.

Can at Newbarns Taproom, Leith. Pours clear bright golden orange with dissipating translucent bubbles. Aroma: sweet-ish, apple, apple skin, oak, light funky. Taste: light to moderate sweet, clean, tangy, apples, lemony hints, caramel, low to medium tannins.. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. Tasty.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 17/09/23. Pale golden yellow with a thin white cap that clears to minimal spotting. Nose is pear drop, hint of glue, vinous, caramel. Taste comprises bitter sweet pears, light herb, tannins, orchard wood, modest sugar dusting, oak. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Solid stuff.

330ml bottle from The Wine Seller, Compton, Wolverhampton. Pours clear gold. Aroma of rustic barrel, cider barn. Taste continues with a mild acetic air, wild funk, with sweet scuzzy pulp emerging alongside tannin-rich juicy fruit. Good apple blend, all contributing a nice depth of flavour. Really good.

31/8/2023. Keg pour shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours almost clear golden orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of tangy apple, flowers, elderflower, citrus, slight rubbery edge. Moderate sweetness, light tartness. Medium body, oily, low carbonation. Nice drying tannic bittersweet finish. Liked this.

Draught at Durham Beer Festival, 2023. 6%. Golden colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of fruity apple, fleshy, funk. Taste is sweetish, apple, fruity fleshy, with caramel, some tartness, barnyard funk and drying tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium dry tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Pale yellow gold colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of perry pear, fruity, woody, citric. Taste is sweetish, perry pear, juicy, fruity, floral, woody, with alittle biscuit some funk and citric acidity. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, drying woody peary finish. Nicely drinkable.

Draught: Poured a clear golden color perry with good carbonation. Aroma of semi-sweet pear notes is dominant. Taste is also a mix of semi-sweet pear notes with some light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Refreshing with a limited level of complexity.

375ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. for #rgpm. Carefully poured giving a clear bright pale golden colour, thin white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of pear, kiwifruit, gooseberry, flowery. Taste is sweet, pear flesh, fruity, melon, gooseberry, and drying, woody, with some tannin. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry peary finish. Very drinkable.
