750 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Well carbonated! Pours tarnished dark gold with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma is mixed - vinous, bretty, citrus, light stone fruit. Med body. Flavor is oak, vinous, bretty, citrus, bready, - and my sinus just exploded. Figuratively speaking. This is spicy stuff. Add spice to the flavor list. Smooth, lightly sour and complex. Finishes dry, spicy and bretty. Another brilliant ale from Anchorage.

750 ml bottle. Batch #1, July 2011. 100 IBUs. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a large cream-colored rocky head with great retention; leaves some lace. Aroma is strong in brett; stings the nostrils. Smells dusty, citrusy; awesome. The wood comes out after it warms up a bit. Taste starts out sweet for 1 millisecond before a wallop of bitterness slams into the palate. Wow, this is bitter. There’s a little sour hiding there behind the bitterness, too. Carbonation is medium-low, body is medium to full. Awesome beer.

Hazy amber orange with a large rocky white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, lightly funk, oak, and a mild wine note. Flavor has stronger oak notes, the wine really picks up, bright fruits, a bit of funk. Really flavorful. Quite interesting and tasty.
