750ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with medium to huge frothy lacing white head. Intense sourish, floral, herbal, grassy aroma. Bitter, short before biting, hop taste in the beginning, lemonade-like middle part, bitter hop dominates again, leading to a lasting soapy, alkaline finish. Much knickknack (brett, Chardonnay barrels) for relatively little outcome.

Pours ve ry cloudy gold with nice fluffy head and decent lacing. Nice aromas of citrus and yeast. Tastes of plenty of Brett, pepper, orange lemon citrus, tart, with light alcohol. Very fun brew for 70 degree March night in NYC

11/12/12/12/15/12

(Bottle, 0.75 l - batch #1 August 2011, 20120310, courtesy of rosenbergh) The beer poured golden and hazy. The foaming was quite strong and it produced a white head. Aroma had spices, sourness, grapefruit and wood. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, citricness, sourness, fruitiness, grapefruit, malts, wood and bitterness. Aftertaste was sour, hoppy and bitter. Very nice hoppy saison.

Aroma is rather rich with earthy and oaky notes. Also some raw apples. Flavour is sour and somewhat tart with some raw apples and earthy notes. Feels like white wine. Adding the yeast makes this much more round, but gives nothing more.

Batch 1, bottled 5/2011 Pours pale, clear and light yellow with a medium bubbly head. Aroma of strong brettanomyces notes, spices, yeast and earthy notes. Taste has slightly tart fruits, wheat malts, lemon, spices and some earthy notes. Finish is a bit watery with some tart fruity notes and slight hints of white wine, vanilla and wood. Nice and tasty, well balanced, not too sour.

Pours a hazy orange with a 3-dimensional white head. Complex aroma. Flowery spice, sour fruit, new leather. The flavor is slightly sweet at first lots of herbal notes. Almost a lavender dryness in the finish. The complexity matches the aroma. Smooth yet lively.

Bottle from batch 1 Jan 2012. Pours with a hazy yet luminescent, glowing yellow hued body (paler side of things), with a massive white head, great retention and insane sheets of lace. Voracious carbonation and full retention. Amazingly delicious aroma. Complex! Tons of tropical fruit and citrus zest. Huge galaxy hop character which is awesome by itself. Tropical, brett C (ish), white wine, peppery, sage, phenolic, perfume. Mouth watering anticipation from the aromas. Lightly tea like, coriander, curacao orange, lots of mango, floral, passion fruit. Insane! Flavors are bitter, soft, floral and a bit tea like. Jasmine, brett C, tropical fruit and galaxy hops. Huge, bright citrus, oily. Insane flavors. Zest and pith linger in the finish. Some decent bitterness, with a pithy component that lingers a bit too long. Also some lingering mango and passionfruit flavors. Honey suckle and white wine. Very lively carbonation, light bodied, long duration, mild tannin, lingering bitter, complex, yummy, unique and insane!

75 cl bottle @ home. Batch #1, bottled 07/2011
Aroma has earthy notes, urinal cake, some citrus and biscuits. One can really feel the Brettanomyces here. No signs of the Double IPA at all though. Flavour is grassy and somewhat tart with earthy notes, salt and nettles. Also some white-wine like elements. Feels like a semi-sour gueuze like Lindemans Cuvee Rene. The IPA starts to come through towards the end of the glass. Unique and good.

Pours dark yellow with a sticky foamy head. Aroma of sour fruits, yeast, spices and malts. Taste is quite unusual with notes of tart fruits, slight sourness, fruits, hops, malts and grassy notes. Finish is slightly sour with salty and fruity lemony notes. Hints of vanilla, bitterness and grassy hops as well. Tasty, extremely well balanced and enjoyable mix of different styles. Not really an IIPA, not really a sour ale either.
