Description
Based in the heart of Stockport for almost two centuries, and owning around 260 tenanted and managed pubs, inns and hotels across the North West, ‘Robinsons’ is one of oldest and most respected names in British brewing history.

Robinsons took over Hartleys brewery in 1982, closing down the Ulverston plant in 1994 and transferring the Hartley brands to the Unicorn brewery. Robinsons bought the rights to the Ward brands in 2006 but subsequently sold some of those brands to Maxim Beer Co.

0.5 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before May 2025. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-floral, slightly grassy aroma of lemon, passion fruit and gooseberry. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral, gently grassy taste taste of lemon, marmalade, tea and gooseberry, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing ale, fairly British despite the use of citra hops.

Nincs kulonosebb hibaja, hiszen annyira jellegtelen, hogy szinte lehetetlen megitelni barmelyik attribúciója alapján. Gyakorlatilag szines viz, elkepeszto.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025 beer. This is the one of two named brews I've experienced before, except in this case I think it is a case of same name different beer. Dark hoppy bitter carrying some settled fruitiness.
