22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear deep orange copper color with a 2-3 finger dense light khaki head with incredible retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, pear, clove, pepper, banana, caramel, toast, spicy rye, pine, floral, grass, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop, malt, and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, orange rind, banana, clove, pepper, pine, spicy rye, caramel, toast, floral, grass, and floral/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy pine resin bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, banana, clove, pepper, caramel, spicy rye, toast, floral, grass, pine, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and balance of hop, malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great sweetness/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly creamy, slick, and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Belgian DIPA! All around great balance and complexity of hop, malt, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

22oz bomber pours with a mahogany body that supports a thin mocha head of foam. The aroma offers up plenty of chili pepper notes and then some light cinnamon spices and baker’s chocolate. The taste has chili pepper right up front but there’s just chili flavors and really no heat that I can tell. Just behind that are pleasing notes of chocolate bar like goodness, some cinnamon spices and dark roasted malts. It stays firmly with chili pepper flavor and then just a mild degree of heat well into the finish. Really tasty stuff.

Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild carbonation. Clean malt, semi sweet with a little cream. Nice touch of dates and figs. Finishes smooth and dry. Simple stuff but very drinkable.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Julio’s Liquors. Dark brown color with lasting head. Nose is as advertised, chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor is mostly the same with Large amounts of vanilla in the finish. I don’t say this often but It is too sweet, on the border of cloying. No... It is cloying, way too touch vanilla. Body is medium with a lingering vanilla bean in the finish.

Poured from a bottle it is cola floored beer with a flight head. The aroma is lot sherry and the taste picks up that flavor and lingers sweetly on the palate.

22oz high shoulder narrow neck bottle pours with a clear ruby red body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up, what’s this, rauch malts or peat? I wasn’t expecting this. Well there’s also some sweet figs mixing oddly with mangos, grapefruit, lime and some slight spicy Belgian yeast notes. The taste begins with sweet malts, some red apples, cherries and figs running into a modest degree of spicy Belgian yeast notes and soft malt sweetened rauch smokiness or peat. Toward the finish sugar sweetened lime, grapefruit and mango like hoppiness surface. Interesting. Additional ounces consumed reveals citrus hop bitterness that helps tie together the various sweet notes, albeit loosely. Comes across as being odd and not far enough in a positive direction.
