Bottle at home. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, toffee, fruity notes, wood, dried dark fruits, hint of hops. Flavour is medium to heavy sweet with a moderate bittersweet finish. Body is full, a bit syrupy. Somewhat like a US Barley Wine. Tasty malty caramel toffee fruity beer, very smooth.

Bottle at home. Aroma is wood, booze, sweet dark fruits, cherries, port, dark roasted malt, vanilla, bourbon, vinous, dark chocolate. Flavour is sweet. Body is full, a bit sticky. Great barrel flavours in this one, complex and strong. Love the dark chocolate in the finish. Great BA Impie Stout from De Molen!

Bottle at home. Aroma is sweet candied fruits, malt, bread, peach, some tropical fruit, light yeast, mango, hops. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium, highly carbonated. Enjoyable, but not the most exciting Molen IPA I’ve had.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, strong oak, big vanilla, Bourbon, booze, chocolate, plum, dark fruity notes. Flavour is sweet and boozy. Body is medium to full. Total barrel takeover, hardly a subtle one. I think I prefer the base beer, but this is pretty damn tasty as well. Massive Bourbon oaky vanilla.

Bottle at home. Aroma is big stone fruit, apricot, peach, tropical fruits, sweet bready malt, pine resin, hint of pineapple, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a big bittersweet finish. Body is just above medium. Delicious IIPA, Molen can be hit-and-near-miss with their IPA’s, but this one is quite good!

0.33 l bottle from 'Beerdome', best before October 2034. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty, quite smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut, coffee, brandy, dark fruits, peat and iodine. Rather sweet, malty, fairly roasty, rather smoky-medicinal and slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, roasted hazelnut, hints of vanilla, brandy, peat, iodine and some dark fruits, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Delicious brew, even better than the base beer. Super smooth, thick and saturating. The barrel increases its complexity and mellows the peat a little. Great!

Tap at the Dutch bar bermondsey. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Aroma is lemon rind verbena, straw, grass, pineapple. Straw. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, bready grains, tangy pineapple, lemon verbena, pithy citrus, palate is semi sweet, tangy, moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Keg at 'If It Ain't Dutch'. Just a mild haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, modestly sweet. Crisp pine. Citrus peel bitterness. A little hop spice. Candy fruits on the back end. Semi dry finish leaves a spicy linger.

Lots of champagne yeast, very distinctive champagne flavor. Made for NYE but good for these cold nights.
