Clear amber beer, short pale cream coloured head. Crispy and semi dry palate. Reasonably well balanced - mild creamy malt and bitterish hops with light citrus. Trace of banana ester. A little minerals rounds off making a fresh tasting and drinkable beer.

Bottle 500ml. @ ChrisO Snow Tasting.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, malt, straw - bread notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20130120]

Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting, thanks to Ian, 20/01/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head that clears to the edge. Nose is light soap, some fruits, plastic, subdued and non descript. Taste comprises pale malt, light fruit, not great. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Sub par stuff.

Bottle. Wildflower honey malt aroma. Clear honey gold with a large off-white head. Creamy barley malt and grassy hops flavor. Medium creamy body, lively carbonation.

Cask at the Nags Head, Covent Garden - 13/12/12. Dark amber with a thin white head that retains well. Nose carries light fruit tones, touch of hops, pale malt. Taste follows pretty unassuming and safe all round. Medium body, soft carb, sweet and bitter in the finish. Arriving at the classic ’whelmed’ formation: - 6-3-6-3-12 !

Cask at the Nags Head, Covent Garden - 13/12/12. Clear chestnut brown with a thin off white head that retains well, good lacing follows. Nose is malts, toffee, light spice, dark fruits. Taste follows, dark fruits, orange, caramel, spice. Medium bodied, light carbonation, bitter and tangy fruit in the finish. Ok stuff.

Cask at George IV, Sawbridgeworth. Golden brown pour with a thin white frothy head. Smooth lightly hoppy aroma with nice balanced malty bitterness in the flavour. More like a classic English bitter than the hop extravaganza I was expecting. A lovely session ale though.

Cask at George IV, Sawbridgeworth. Dark brown pour with a thin white head and bags of lace and bubbles. Nothing much in the aroma. There's loads in the flavour, but nothing particularly good. There's a hint of smokey bacon crisps! and a dreadfully unpleasant aftertaste. This is a beer that needs to be retired. It's disappointing to me that in 2012 some breweries are still producing beers like this.
